Good and Fair
In Eastbourne's Enterprise Centre 'Good and Fair' sells Fairtrade food items alongside organic goods. You can find the new shop in the far corner, near the greengrocer. The proprietor Peter Watts said:

"Good and Fair grew out of a desire to provide food that was good for the consumer, good for the grower and good for the planet. A true win/win situation!"

Good and Fair came in to being as a result of Peter's awareness of the impact of our shopping and a wish to make an opportunity out of the situation he found himself in.

"10 years ago I was having a picnic in a wheat field in Ukraine and realised how much more wildlife there was there than here at home. And then after being out of work I decided that it was time to strike out on my own, a shop full of organic and/or fairly traded food seemed the best way forward! We stock a wide range from perfect pasta to fantastic fudge. We hold as much fair trade stock as we can at present and are looking to increase this range as the shop grows."

Fairtrade Central Eating
A new business on Terminus Road is proud to be serving Fairtrade to its customers. Central Eating at 240 Terminus Road (seafront end) serves great food and Fairtrade drinks.

"We use Fairtrade because my wife and I feel strongly that it is the right ethical choice and with so many products to choose from, it was an easy choice to make." said proprietor Jason Patterson.

"Considering the provenance of everything we buy is something we can all do and make considered choices wherever possible."
