Mr Nigel Waterson was Eastbourne's Conservative MP from April 1992 to May 2010. In February 1999, Nigel was appointed Shadow Minister for Local Government and Housing. From September 2001 to July 2002, he served as Frontbench Spokesman for Trade & Industry. In June 2003, he was appointed Shadow Minister for People with Disabilities. In November 2003, he became Shadow Minister for Work & Pensions. He lost the 2010 general election to Liberal Democrat Stephen Lloyd.
